How History Is Made… Revisionists At Work


There has been a lot of good coverage in the news lately about the changes being made to Texas’ history textbooks but among the best, in my opinion, is this New York Times article:

The danger that hasn’t been highlighted enough, however, is that by whitewashing history, we will fail to learn from history. In other words, if we only study history’s triumphs and not the mistakes of the past, we are doomed to repeat those mistakes, as the old adage goes.
